5 Best Medical Aesthetic (Beauty) Clinics in Kuala Lumpur (KL) 2020

Our enquiry inbox has been popping lately with ladies asking questions like “Can someone recommend me a good aesthetic clinic in Kuala Lumpur?” or “Can someone recommend me a good aesthetic doctor?”. These are common questions that we see frequently on forums and on our WhatsApp groups as well. There's more to this than meets the eye.

Popularity of a particular doctor or a clinic could be influenced by marketing hype or heavy online and off-line advertising. However, online popularity doesn't necessarily mean that the clinic is the best aesthetic clinic in town for all kinds of aesthetic procedures.

Shockingly, many consumers still go to unregistered aesthetic doctors for their medical aesthetic procedures. If we wouldn't trust an unqualified car mechanic with our cars, why are we trusting an unqualified aesthetic professional with our face and body? Not every "aesthetic practitioner" is a qualified medical doctor and is properly trained to perform medical aesthetic procedures and cosmetic surgeries. Make sure that your aesthetic practitioner is a qualified medical doctor and has the right training, experience and is registered with the Ministry of Health.

If you are feeling lazy and do not wish to read the whole article, you could send in a free enquiry with a licensed aesthetic clinic in Malaysia.

It is getting common for beauty salons and spas to offer injectable treatments such as Botox
and dermal fillers to customers who frequent their premises. Please be informed that only trained and qualified medical professionals are authorised to administer injectable treatments like Botox and dermal fillers. The aesthetic physician should also have a license known as LCP (Letter of Privileging and Credentialing) for aesthetic procedures from the Ministry of Health of Malaysia. In order to verify whether your doctor is licensed to do medical aesthetic procedures in Malaysia, you can check whether they have a LCP license over here:
For more information on LCP (Letter of Credentialing and Privileging) license from the Ministry of Health i.e. LCP Chapter 1,2 and 3, check out Guidelines on Aesthetic Medical Practice for Registered Medical Practitioners

As for the clinic selection, the online world provides overwhelming information and while some of the sites do provide the needed information; the methods in which the clinics are selected are not explained. Are the medical doctors verified and registered with the Malaysian Medical Council? Are the doctors registered with the National Registry of Registered Medical Practitioners Practising Aesthetic Medical Practice? If yes, which Chapter?

There are more than 200 doctors with LCP Chapter 1 license in Malaysia and it may not be easy to select the right one. That's one of the reasons why we have shortlisted, filtered and selected 5 aesthetic clinics for you to choose. The selection of the aesthetic clinics is based on Google search results, reviews and information available on blogs and forums.

Disclaimer: The aesthetic clinics have been arranged in no particular order of priority.
