Coolsculpting Applicators

What is Coolsculpting?

CoolSculpting is the brand name and cryolipolysis is what it does. “Cryo” means icy cold and “lipolysis” is the word for the breaking down of fat. It's a perfect name for what CoolSculpting does: freezes away fat. But simply put, cryolipolysis is how you can lose fat by freezing it.

Coolsculpting is an innovative way to contour your body by freezing unwanted fat away with no surgery and little to no downtime. It's not a good choice if you want to lose a lot of weight, but if you're healthy and just looking to target stubborn areas of fat (particularly love handles, back or belly fat, arm fat, or a double chin) that haven't responded to diet and exercise, it could be a good option for you.

With more than 6 million CoolSculpting treatments worldwide, people everywhere are getting a better view of themselves, thanks to the one-of-a-kind CoolSculpting procedure.

*In the U.S., the CoolSculpting®procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental area, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments. In China, the cryolipolysis system is used for fat layer reduction of the abdomen and flanks. In Taiwan, the CoolSculpting procedure is cleared for the breakdown of fat in the flank (love handle), abdomen, and thigh. Outside the U.S., China and Taiwan, the CoolSculpting procedure for non-invasive fat reduction is available worldwide. CoolSculpting® and its design are trademarks of ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc., an Allergan affiliate. CoolSculpting is the treatment doctors use most for non-invasive fat removal.

Differences between Coolsculpting, Cryolipolysis, Fat Freezing, Body Contouring and Non-Surgical Liposuction??

There is a lot of confusion with the above jargons. Let's get the terminologies right.

Noninvasive body contouring medical devices involve cryolipolysis devices, radiofrequency energy devices as well as even lasers to help decrease unwanted fat and contour body areas.

There is a common confusion between these 2 popular terms, 'body contouring' and 'coolsculpting'. There is a difference between body contouring and coolsculpting, in terms of terminology.

Firstly, what do body contouring procedures actually do? There are a fixed number of fat cells in your body. They are just part of who you are. When you gain weight, you aren’t actually producing additional fat cells. The fat cells that you already have are simply getting larger. When you lose weight, they get smaller.

With body contouring procedures, many of these fat cells in your body are simply removed or destroyed. Once they are gone, they can never regenerate or be replaced. The fat cells that remain in your body can still get larger and smaller, depending on your weight. By removing fat cells in certain areas of the body, like stubborn bulges of fat that are difficult to get rid of with only exercise or dieting, we can essentially “sculpt” your body. Although you will look thinner, this is not because you lost weight. It is because you lost fat cells.

Two of the most popular body contouring procedures today are liposuction (surgical) and the Non surgical methods such as cryolipolysis and thermolipolysis methods. Coolsculpting is a 'brand name' for one of the most popular non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that utilizes controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn areas of fat.

Non-surgical Body contouring devices can be categorised into 2 broad categories based on their technologies.

  1. Heat based treatments (thermolipolysis): HIFU (Liposonix, Lipocel), Radiofrequency (RF), Sculpsure laser lipolysis (Sculpsure), i-Lipo and Exilis Ultra (RF + Ultrasound).
  2. Fat freezing based treatments: CoolSculpt, Clatuu and CoolTech and multiple, lesser known brands from China, Korea, Taiwan, Europe etc.

How Much Does Coolsculpting Cost in Malaysia?

The cost of coolsculpting treatment varies from clinic to clinic and may be dependent on the complexity of your case and your course of treatment. Consultation fees also vary from doctor to doctor. Some may offer a free initial assessment while others may charge a fee.

Here is the indicative price for coolsculpting in Malaysia:
  • One hour (cycle) treatment for tummy: RM 9900 / session
  • One hour (cycle) treatment for lower abdomen: RM 5500 / session
  • One hour (cycle) treatment for love handles: RM 5000 / session

Coolsculpting Reviews in Malaysia

Clique Clinic Review (PJ, Malaysia): Coolsculpting by Clique Clinic (PJ, Malaysia) – “Before and after” thigh results of Rebecca Saw
Now, I work out and I follow a fairly healthy diet so I was a very good candidate for this procedure. This procedure works better hand-in-hand with a disciplined workout regime and a balanced diet.
This is NOT for anyone who is looking for easy weight loss.
Typically you can reduce the area you treat by 30 percent, NOT the whole piece of flab. So grab your fat roll and picture it about a third smaller. Now, it really isn’t a big difference right?

Realself.com: Pain After Coolsculpting - Malaysia
I had my procedure done on abdomen 11 days ago. It has been 3 days and very long nights in a horrible pain I did not even experience after my C section. WHY WHY WHY the doctors don't warn us ? Instead they advertise it as a pain free procedure! I have never experienced anything like this, at times I was short of breath, it looked like I was was going to die!!!
Thanks god to this blog where I found out about Neurotin and Malaysia where you don't need a prescription to buy it, for the first time in the last 100 hours I feel a little better. But still in pain! Whatever they say, lipo would have been easier with the right pain killers and immediate results, I think it should be compulsory to tell patients the Truth about possible agony after the procedure, cose this ain't a joke kinda pain, this is such a HUGE stress to the whole body that it might take a form of anorexia in 2weeks without waiting for the results!!!
