I first received this product as a gift from a dear friend who has white hair, like I do (neither of us have yellow tones in our hair). She learned of it from her hair sytlist. I love the product. I keep looking for a better shampoo. Half of them end up in the garbage. I always go back to Shimmer Lights. I have gray, almost white hair. It keeps my hair from turning yellow on me. I don't care for it's dark purple color, but I sure like the results I get.

I've tried tons of purple shampoos, from moderately priced to expensive and none of them really worked. This shampoo actually made a noticeable, albeit slight, improvement in the yellow in my gray hair the first time I used it. It continues to improve my salt and pepper hair each time I use it. I also bought the purple conditioner, the leave-in conditioner, the clarifying shampoo and the every day shampoo.
I can't say enough good things about these products and am so glad that I have found them. I can't believe that this shampoo isn't on every list of shampoos for gray hair that I researched, because it's the only one that really works. I just lucked out by searching clarifying shampoos on Amazon and this brand popped up. Buy it, you'll love it.

I was very pleased with this product. I really like the conditioner. After one use a friend asked me if I colored my hair. I explained to her that I had used purple shampoo to enhance my grays and downplay my brassy strands. My hairdresser suggested I use it about twice a week to keep the brassiness and the yellow tones to a minimum as I let my natural gray come in. I stopped coloring my hair during the lockdown .
